When I’m not writing, I can be found:

  • Cooking mouth watering ribs on my Klose backyard smoker.
  • Trying to keep the rabbits from eating my vegetable garden and grass. So far, the rabbits are winning.
  • Building things out of wood including raised vegetable planters, shelves, and bookcases.
  • Studying classical guitar.
  • Baking my own sourdough bread, buttermilk biscuits, and blueberry muffins.
  • Obsessing over my miniature Schnauzer, Gypsy.

If you’re dying to know more about me, here are some fun facts most people don’t know…

  1. At the age of 48, I became an instrument rated private pilot. My longest flight was in a Piper Warrior from Chino to San Jose to San Luis Obispo and back to Chino…all in the same day.
  2. In 2005, I rode my Harley Davidson with my son, Nick, to the annual motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. 11 days of riding through the Black Hills, pretending to be a biker bad-ass.
  3. For 3 weeks, my wife and I lived in a 30′ Winnebago motorhome with our dog and 2 cats. This wasn’t by choice. We had nowhere else to live while our house was being built.
  4. Secret want: To be able to sing and dance.
